BIO
For Megan Fowler, music has always been a thread that has woven through her life, becoming not only what she does, but also who she is. "Music has always been a part of me," Megan says. "It's always been something I've loved." Sharing that music with others comes naturally to this petite but spunky brunette, who proves the adage that good things come in small packages. This time it's a singer/songwriter/musician package, one who puts her heart into all that she does.
Megan was raised in the quiet countryside of Middle Georgia, where she was taught to love God and family. The simple, country life helps keep her grounded while reaching for her dreams of being a successful entertainer who will be a positive example and encouragement to people through her music and life.
In October 2011, Megan began working with PCG Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed PCG's Athena Program in August 2012 and then advanced to the Emerging Artists Program where she spent two years at this level. Through PCG she worked with top songwriters to write her own songs, took guitar and vocal lessons, and learned through performance lessons and other training that helped develop her into the popular artist she is today.
Megan released her first album, "We've All Got A Song", on iTunes and Amazon on April 1, 2014. She also has hard copies available as well. In August of 2015, a duet entitled "Read My Mind" and recorded with fellow artist Matt Rogers was released. This song can be downloaded on iTunes as well. Her song "Match Made in Heaven" was featured on Backyard Country on 94.9 The Bull as well as 96.5 for 10 weeks. Her duet with Matt Rogers was also featured on these two stations for 10 weeks as well.
In 2013, Megan joined Georgia-Country.com and was chosen as the 2013 Country Female Artist of the Year. In 2015, she received the Georgia Country Award for 2015 Country Female Artist of the Year. Megan was also honored to receive the GA Music Award for Country Female Artist of the Year for 2014 and 2015.
Megan has been able to travel a lot through the last few years with her music and has played many different stages from Cox Capital Theater in Macon, GA to The Listening Room in Nashville, TN. She has also shared stages with acts such as Luke Combs, Bryan White, Phil Vassar, Doug Stone, and Edwin McCain.
More recently, Megan has released a Christian/Gospel album entitled “Tune My Heart,” as well as her new single “Grandpa’s Knee.” Her single was recently on K102 Country in Spokane, Washington as a part of their “Yank It or Crank It” competition and is still receiving airplay. You can find her single, gospel album and more of her music on iTunes, Spotify, and everywhere.
A beguiling mix of class and country, sweetness and determination, Megan is just as comfortable going deep sea fishing as she is singing on a stage. But it is on that stage that she most desires to be, guitar in hand, singing her heart out in a microphone for all the world to hear. She has the talent, personality, and drive to see her dreams come true because for Megan Fowler, it has always been about the music.
